Food & Wine had a lovely 19th Century trend story in this month’s issue {Old Village Hall’s Edgar Allen Poe wine tote was featured}! I did a double take when I read a small blurb about the newly opened Comstock Saloon in San Francisco.
The Gold Rush era decor {think embossed leather walls, Victorian sconces and lots of damask} and throw back cocktails are enough to get me in for a holiday drink!

Wow, dying to go there!!!
wow, what amazing image and interior design, love it! xoxo
Blue wallpaper coupled by the tile really pulls this room together.

I was able to pop into Comstock during SF Cocktail Week, and the design and overall feel was so lovely! We had some very late night snacks and were already cocktailed out so had to pass on the drinks. But I’d love to return for some great mixology they do at the bar. Very ye olde Barbary Coast!
Oh I’ve been to the Comstock- it’s fairly close to my office. It’s delightful inside. A close second to Freeman’s in NYC, in terms of decor. xo
Oooh, glad some of you guys have already checked it out! Emily, I LOVE Freeman’s in NYC!!
I am in love with that wallpaper!
