We eat a LOT of Mexican food at Ruby Press, and Dona Tomas and Tacubaya are two of our very favorites. When we read on Grubstreet SF that the same owners just opened a new taqueria in Oakland, we were thrilled!!! Everything on the menu at Xolo sounds amazing, but I can hardly wait to try the Vampiro taco – al pastor, salsa ranchera, red onions, serrano peppers, and cilantro on a fried cheese tortilla! Equally delicious-sounding are the chicken tacos with avocado salsa and chile verde tacos, pictured below.
