Los Poblanos

Sam, Sammy and I were lucky enough to spend some time at the picturesque Los Poblanos Inn in Albuquerque, NM, and we just can’t stop talking about it.

Los Poblanos is nestled among 25 acres of organic farmland {see  the lavender fields in the shots below- they also sell the most divine lavender bath and body products!} and the vast, main building is a gorgeous 1930’s estate designed by well-known southwest architect John Gaw Meem.  Our charming suite {Meem #2} was part of the main house, but there are also rooms built in the historic dairy buildings. I’ll admit, I spent a little too much time at the Farm Shop, which sold their lotions and soaps, as well as a well-edited selection of kitchen and garden tools, books, and yummy gelato for eating in the hot sun.  A perfect place to relax with little ones, Los Poblanos has a farm with goats, chickens, donkeys, and cows and a big old tractor, which Sammy was obsessed with.  Oh, and peacocks roam the property!

I can’t wait to go back.

{Beautiful, old trees surround the property.}

{Sammy plays croquet!}

{Obsessed with the bathroom floor tiles.}

{Fields of organic lavender…}

{The grand entrance to La Quinta, where they hold weddings and events.}

{A painting in La Quinta that I loved!}

{The white peacock that roams around the property…}

{A pretty tile on La Quinta.}

{Sammy’s favorite red tractor!  We bought him a tiny toy version in the Farm Shop.}

{Mismatched vintage juice glasses at the delicious full breakfast they serve guests each morning.  Perfection.}

{Bunches of dried lavender hanging in the Farm Shop.}

{Inside the charming Farm Shop.}

{Chasing down Sammy, outside of the pool house.}

{Sweet Sammy!}
