Could it be that summer is finally here to stay? The gorgeous weather this weekend has me believing so. And with the summer heat brings many fun-filled weekends at one of my favorite local getaways, Santa Cruz! Whether it is sipping coffee at Verve Coffee Roasters, grabbing a great read for the beach at Bookshop Santa Cruz, having a tasty bite to eat at El Palomar, or frolicking for hours on the Beach Boardwalk (savoring the ridiculously yummy Marini’s salt water taffy as I stroll), every second in Santa Cruz is delish! And after a day of shopping, eating and lounging on the beach, it is time to rest my weary head at the luxurious Dream Inn. How I love summer!

I am a huge fan of everything Diane von Furstenberg puts her genius touch on so you can imagine my excitement when she announced that she would be collaborating with Spring Global and launching a home collection in the Spring of 2011. My house is ready for a little DVF aesthetic! If her home collection is anything like the rug collection she did with The Rug Company in 2006, fashion fanatics are in for a real treat! I have noticed that my sweet tooth is kicking into overdrive lately. And the recent craving of choice…a Snickers bar. Something about the yummy perfection of caramel, peanuts and chocolate makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside. {My childhood cat that I had for almost 10 years was even named Snickers!} When I stumbled upon this recipe on Cannelle et Vanille, I knew I MUST try it out! Don’t you think that this grown-up version of my childhood favorite looks absolutely scrumptious?
