Melissa and I were just chatting about our mutual fascination with vintage doll heads. They’re seemingly morbid, but also sweet and nostalgic. At just the right taste level, doll heads can have a spooky chic vibe that I love! These really capture the feel…
Photographer Kris Severson used blurry doll images to depict the female struggle with inner beauty in her Living Dolls exhibit at Reaves Gallery.
Even though I never got through the second chapter, Donna Tartt’s The Little Friend has an amazing cover that totally sold me.
This print, found on Etsy, is one I’d like to add to my collection.
This gilded doll head paperweight from The Big-Ass Book of Crafts by Mark Montano, would make an eclectic addition to a desk. I’ve got to get my hands on some bronze spray paint!
Angela was an editorial intern at San Francisco Magazine. I accepted an internship at Ruby Press and am now Melissa's assistant.

Spooky..but cool!
Very cool!! This is one of my greatest fears. Knowing this, Melissa bought me a vintage doll head a few years ago. Sometimes if you stare at it long enough, she moves her eyes.
