French singer-rapper Yelle has always been a favorite of mine. Known for her strong character and girl-power lyrics, the svelte brunette unapologetically sings from the female perspective. (Her song “85A,” references her French bra size!) Her upbeat electro pop songs always make me want to dance around my bedroom with my girlfriends, but I imagine she’s even better live.
