L’Eau des Hesperides

Its so hard to pick a favorite of the new Diptyque fragrances that just launched, but if pressed, I think I’d pick L’Eau des Hesperides, which has notes of peppermint, red thyme, and rosemary blended with Ivory Coast bitter orange and Italian lemon.

I have a long history with Diptyque fragrances…I have worn so many of them and they each bring back memories of the times when I wore them. (For example, I wore L’Eau Diptyque when I first moved to San Francisco and met my husband. I almost can feel the excitement of those early days of dating when I take a sniff from that bottle. I wore Olene when I lived in New York and L’Ombre Dans L’Eau off and on for years.)

If you live out west, stop by the chic little San Francisco boutique on Maiden Lane. (It may be one of my favorite places on earth.) If you can’t get there (poor you!), buy all three here.

P.S. I bought the Diptyque coffee table book that just came out- gorgeous!
