Bakesale Betty

When our office was across from the Claremont Hotel we used to trek over to Bakesale Betty more often for lunch (and sweets!), so when Sam swung by a few weeks ago he was shocked to see that it’s developed a Magnolia Bakery-style following! Lines snaked down Telegraph Avenue, but what was really great was that the folks at Bakesale Betty kept everyone happy (and full-bellied) by feeding them treats while they waited! How smart. Love that!

If you go, try the chicken sandwich, which is truly heavenly. It tastes even better than it looks, if that’s possible.

or their sweets…

P.S. Oh, and did I mention they have a JINGLE?? They’re too cute.

I’ll take one of each, please. Yes, the clock is right…it IS 8:35AM and I’d eat 3 of those chicken numbers.

I also love the jingle. I’m a huge fan of the concept of jingles.

Oh, the chicken sandwiches are just SO crazy good. ;) It’s almost worth a trip out here! The fried chicken is super tender and then there’s this salad of green and green peppers on top (with the best dressing) and the bread is (of course) scrumptious! All this talk is making ME crave one too! Maybe lunch today… ;)

Hey Melissa! Back from my hiatus…

my mouth is literally…I mean LITERALLY…watering at the sight of that chicken sandwich! And that’s sayin’ something as I LOVE me my sweets.

When the day comes that we meet you need to be aware that we will be both fat and broke when it’s over with! ;)
