Garland Party

When it’s someone’s birthday here at Ruby Press we always have champagne, sweets, and decor that involves variations on vintage paper lanterns, streamers and garlands. And we always aim for a big “SURPRISE!!”, and the birthday girl/boy always plays along…

This post on Frolic links to Purl Soho who shows you step by step how to make a pretty fabric garland yourself.

{and we always leave the decor up for at least a week!}

    Oh how this post fills me with a strong desire to quit my day job and craft all day! I’d start with one of these garlands, in a French/Bastille Day bleu-blanc-rouge color scheme. It looks so fresh with that wood plank ceiling – sigh.

    Well, if I walked into this room I’d think I was about to be fired! Nothing says “we don’t like you anymore” like cupcakes with candles, and everyone knows that pink is the color of total misery and combining it with citrus-y shades…well, it’s just depressing! ;)

    If you could combine this photo with an audio track of a baby laughing it would be an ultimate anti-depressant! :) So sweet & fresh…I heart!
