Amy and Christopher Dean have just opened the doors to Crown & Crumpet, A Room with Tea and Wit. This is no granny-style tea room, though- it’s offically a “doily-free zone”! They’re located in the newly redone Ghirardelli Square (if you haven’t been by in the past few months, you wouldn’t believe it!), it is the perfect spot for afternoon tea with a friend, or a bridal shower, or a little girl’s tea party. I met some girlfriends at Crown & Crumpet (who is, by the way, a Ruby Press client!) for tea on Saturday, and it was pure heaven!!
P.S. Oh, and they have the sweetest retail section as well, where you can buy everything from British candies to a hot pink cuckoo clock! (I picked up a Tiffany-blue enameled ring with a vintagey gold crown for myself!) You can even buy their charming tea cups and teapots…

Really adorable. Love it…looks like a fun place to have tea and crumpets
Went here for tea with my aunts. The place is ADORABLE!!! So cute, so girly and so so pink! The tea selection was immense - and the wee pastries and cookies were super-cute! If only I lived in the Bay area…
