Barack Obama’s victory last night was an amazing moment, but I can’t help but feel a sadness as well. California’s prop 8’s ruling made gay marriage in California illegal, which is just shocking, terribly unjust and incredibly discriminatory. When will all people be treated equally?

I completely agree, why should we have control over others happiness?
I was shocked as well, Melissa! But then also with Arizona, Florida…and Arkansas! Because now in Arkansas you cannot adopt or foster kids if you are single and/or unmarried. While broad in its scope, they said that it was a means to strike against the “gay agenda” and “protect the welfare of our children”. Really? REALLY?!! Some people are too ingnorant to know how stupid they really are.
Sorry…it just burns me!
Very, very depressing and actually shocking that the results of the vote ended up with the passing of this proposition. I definitely do not think that it is the end of it…

It is mind boggling and so upsetting… especially in CA. For now I’m holding on to hope and faith that it will eventually be overruled here in CA.
