I must confess

that I am less than inspired by the fall runway shows in NYC and London thus far.  {Okay, with a few exceptions.}  The sea of black just reminds me of the early 90’s when I was an assistant at Harper’s Bazaar…  Maybe it’s because I can no longer call myself a New Yorker, but the black wardrobe just doesn’t have the same thrill as it used to.  I know everyone is playing it “safe” due to the economy, but it seems to be that if designers want to inspire shopping- at least for me!- they’d be better off creating pieces that give you that “I must have it!” feeling… right??
