Lavender Syrup

Sam and I spent the afternoon in Healdsburg on Saturday and I had the yummiest lavender lemonade, which inspired me to pluck some lavender sprigs from the yard and make my own lavender syrup.  {Then I made a rosemary syrup and meyer lemon blossom syrup.  All so good!}  Here’s how to make:

Boil one cup of sugar into one cup of water.

When the sugar has dissolved, just add about 4 or 5 sprigs of fresh {not dried} lavender and let boil for ten more minutes.

Cool, and then strain into a container.  Will keep in the frig for about 2 weeks.

To make other versions, just substitute fresh rosemary or blossoms from a lemon tree.
