How is it my brother just completed a triathlon and I never learned how to ride a bike? I always thought I was the only person over the age of 10 who couldn’t ride a bike {it makes me laugh now, but haunted me as a child/teenager} until he forwarded me this story from NPR’s All Things Considered… anyone else out there??

I am loving all your vintage photos and your blog in general. So glad I stumbled upon it!
My mom can’t ride a bike. She ran over my foot a few summers ago when I tried to teach her. I suppose it’s a good thing our city isn’t very bike friendly, for her sake.
you’re not the only one. when my cousin (who was shamefully around 8 at the time) tried to teach my 13 year old self, i promptly rode into a ditch.
