Every so often I’ll come across a set of photographs so stunning that it forces me to furiously scour the web for the responsible artist. Today, that artist is Astrid Salomon and luckily, it only took me ten minutes to match the photograph with its creator. Based in Hamburg, Berlin and New York, Ms. Salomon’s skillful mastery of color and lighting produces photographs that are not only intimate and romantic, but timelessly exquisite.

Before heading over to the Blog Out Loud event I stopped by one of my favorite boutiques in the city, Candystore Collective. {Local and indie designers, vintage, and of course candies.} And wouldn’t you know I found a perfectly fitting navy and white pineapple printed sundress {vintage} for a mere $38? Sometimes it’s just meant to be.

Well, I went to the 2nd ever Blog Out Loud pow-wow {it was here in San Francisco at the charming Bell Jar} and it was so fun to meet up with some fellow bloggers and listen to the panel share their stories. Lynn Goldfinger of Paris Hotel Boutique {my warm, generous friend who I might add has impeccable taste!} shared her insights about the blog world as did the talented and sweet Cassandra of Coco + Kelley. Cassandra and I had never met in person until tonight and we knew we wouldn’t have much time to chat tonight so we’re meeting up at 54 Mint for lunch tomorrow. I’ve always said that one of the things I love most about having this blog is the friends I’ve made. It’s like meeting your pen pals!!
