Behind the Scenes

Some of you asked me for more photos from the Viv&Ingrid “Carnival of Sweets” event we produced earlier this month, so here you go!

{This is Kadie helping me set up the sweets table.  We didn’t use any of Miette’s vessels for the sweets- they were all from my personal collection, which meant digging through boxes in the garage the week before the event!  I’m glad all of my jars, cake plates, candy dishes and platters could all be used at once!}

{The Ruby Press team that made it all happen!  We managed to transform the already adorable space into a Viv&Ingrid ‘Carnival of Sweets’ in less than two hours.  Of course this meant all hands on deck, and everyone had a list of personal to-do’s.  From left to right, that’s Kate, Angela, Sam, me, Kadie, and Terra.}

{Kate rests her aching feet for a moment!  See those green raffle tickets in her hand?  Everyone was given a raffle ticket when they entered, and then every 30 minutes during the party Vivian and Ingrid got up in front of the crowd and announced the winners!  It was so much fun- each of the winners went a little crazy when they won!  And those balloons?  They each have a little ‘fashion fortune’ printed on a piece of paper tucked inside the balloon.  Guests were invited to pop them at home!  Hope they enjoyed their ‘fortunes’!}

{I know it’s a cliche, but I always say “it’s all in the details”, and with events, it’s so true!  It took us a while to track down red and white striped paper straws but I think it was so worth it!}

{I always feel weird about having my photo taken, but I think it’s really ALL about the sweets table here…  ;)   }

And again, all photos from Kristen Loken.
