Bal Crillon des Debutantes

I think it’s the little girl in me, but I always love seeing photos from the famous Bal Crillon des Debutantes in Paris.  This year’s ball just happened this past Saturday and the dresses were extraordinary.  Archival Lanvin, Chanel Couture, Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana…you get the idea.

I have to admit I find this stuff fascinating as well. The gowns are always so gorgeous and the families intriguing. I always buy the Teen Vogue issue that covers the ball…a little guilty pleasure I haven’t managed to outgrow!

readers must be warned the event is a fake front that seels the pictures of the girls to make money.
only a few of the dresses are haute couture the rest
    common lines.
clint eastwood could not attend as the grandfather of one of the debs is stanley ho well known for his association with triad mafia.
the fashion institute in france is after the organizers of the event

I always love looking at the photographs from the Crillon. I wonder if you’ve seen Jane’s blog (she’s the one in the black and white striped Chanel in the front row.)

The daughter of a former model, she’s quite the blogger/fashionista. Both posted fabulous behind-the-scenes pics from the ball & her fitting at Chanel. If only my life was so fabulous ;)

    Her blog is: http://seaofshoes.typepad.com/
    Her mom’s is: http://atlantishome.typepad.com/

    Enjoy :)
