Organic Root Alcohol

Art in the Age’s new organic Root alcohol is perfect for the holiday season!  It’s made with birch bark, smoked black tea, surgarcane, essence of sassafras, orange and lemon peel, and delicious winter spices like cinnamon and nutmeg.  It’s based on the 19th century recipe for the alcoholic precursor to today’s root beer, but be assured, this is not “root beer flavored vodka or a sickly sweet liqueur”, as they say on their website.

I haven’t tried it yet but I was thinking of making some “Root Nog“… For now, you can only purchase it online, but I’m hoping to find it in San Francisco soon!
