There are no words to describe the pure joy photobooths bring me {and no doubt many of you, as well!} In true Amelie fashion, my up-for-anything boyfriend and I have vowed to always stop if we see one, no matter what! Photobooth by Babette Hines chronicles the cultural icon’s history, and even better, is packed with over 700 shots of spontaneous, romantic, evocative, and utterly gorgeous photos collected from friends and years of flea marketing. You can also visit Hines’ Los Angeles gallery of collected photographs–what a treat! For more info, check out thefoundphoto.
I know many of you have been waiting for this day…the relaunch of organic skincare brand Marie Veronique Organics! We {here at Ruby Press} are just in love with the fresh new packaging and website. {But don’t worry Marie Veronique Organics fans- the products inside the beautiful amber apothecary bottles are indeed the same ones you fell in love with.}
Contrary to last weekend’s forecast, it rained. I was looking forward to grabbing drinks with girlfriends on Saturday, but none of us felt like venturing out into the wet night. A cozy evening at my place with lots of red wine turned out to be just as fun! I love these shots from The Cherry Blossom Girl’s evening equivalent.
Wow, I am just kind of in awe of vintage dealer Rhiannon Liefhert, her website, and the atmospheric shots she posts of herself in her wares {taken all across the country}. Some of my favorite shots…
One of my New Year’s resolutions is to always have a book in rotation on my nightstand, so I was thrilled to discover the formation of an online book club! Inspired by The Slow Movement, which encourages you to slow down, re-energize, re-connect, and in this case, bond with blog friends over a good book. For more information or to join, contact Diana over at our city lights. Hope to see you at our “virtual” meet-up!
Melissa and Marc Palazzo of Pal + Smith have a 1950’s ranch home that epitomizes the California cool style I’m constantly chasing after. Everything feels so fresh-from the mismatch dining room chairs to the oversize aqua lamps and that beast of a bed frame-yet it’s completely livable (at least I think!). See the rest of the house here. Total genius.
I love this beautiful display of cheese, bread, fruit, and honey that Sunday Suppers created for Darcy Miller’s The Bride’s Guide! This might be my perfect dinner…with a little chocolate, of course.
