It’s been chilly in the Bay Area lately and cold winter nights always make me want one thing: breakfast for dinner. Something about a plate of pancakes and bacon or french toast always warms me up. TheseĀ blueberry-cornmeal pancakes with orange maple butter are a favorite of mine, but next I’ll be trying these lemon ricotta pancakes with sauteed apples, and this baked french toast.

Oh I love this! When I was little it was so special to have breakfast for dinner. Fun little tradition.
So true! I have my own times when I want to have elaborate breakfasts at night!:P You should check my post on breakfast that I had in the ATX!

My mouth is absolutely watering right now. I recently heard about a restaurant here in San Diego that has french toast stuffed with peanut butter and bananas. Now with sufficient inspiration from your post, I might have to have that breakfast treat for dinner tonight.
You make the pancakes, I’ll bring the bacon
That is so true!!! I have been eating french toast a lot these past few chilly nights in Toronto! I thought it was only me ~ now I don’t feel as guilty.
