Win three dresses from Swoon!

Attention engaged readers!!  This Monday, March 1st, Swoon is launching a contest that will have you salivating… The winner will win three gorgeous Swoon bridesmaid dresses of her choice.  That’s a sure-fire recipe for three happy bridesmaids if I’ve ever heard one! {That’s almost $1,000 worth of chic silk bridesmaids dresses, free!}

The contest runs from March 1st through April 30th.  Here’s all you need to do:  Brides-to-be submit a written statement {to: enterme@swoondress.com} explaining why you adore your bridesmaids, what they mean to you, and why you picked them to be by your side on the big day.  Swoon designer/owner Amy Wong Micucci will choose the winner and will announce the winner in early May.

Please keep in mind that the dresses are made to order and will take 3 to 4 months for production.  Good luck!!  xx

DUJOUR Magazine

Fashion magazines are my nourishment, so you can imagine my overflowing joy in discovering a new {to me!} glossy I can obsess over. NYC-based DUJOUR magazine is filled with dreamy editorials and witty articles–very Lula-esque {one of my absolute favorites}. DUJOUR is available for immediate gratification in digital format ($12 for a 1-year subscription) and a limited edition run of hard copies. Plus, how could you not LOVE a publication with this slogan: “Fashion With Sprinkles On Top”!

The little striped dress

Aaaah… the spring/summer equivalent of the LBD. Isn’t it lovely? All it needs is some coral nail polish, white sunglasses, and a gigantic straw tote.

{I found it here!}

Jeffrey Monteiro

If you’ve read my bio {see below}, you’ll know I terribly miss Jane Mayle’s namesake collection. But the stunning pieces comprising the spring collection of Jeffrey Monteiro just might be worthy substitutes. A former design director at Mayle, Monteiro’s charming, detail-ridden dresses and tops evoke a disheveled femininity quite reminiscent of my beloved Mayle pieces. I can’t wait to buy one of these little gems for spring!

Marc Jacobs + Maripol

It’s funny…the last time I shopped in a Marc by Marc Jacobs boutique I told Sam that it reminded me so much of shopping at Fiorucci in the 80’s.   Fiorucci was number one on my list on my first trip to NY as a teenager…I was dying to buy jewelry by Maripol, who was credited with Madonna’s jewelry back in the early 80’s.  Well, clearly I wasn’t the only one making that association because Marc Jacobs has collaborated with Maripol to create a line which is sold in the Marc by Marc Jacobs boutiques.  Think rubber bracelets, chain necklaces and tees which range in price from $4 to $35.  Love it!!
