Background: I was a fashion editor in NYC for 8 years {Harper’s Bazaar, Mademoiselle} and in San Francisco {Lucky, 7×7} before starting Ruby Press in 2001.

Favorite model: Jeanne Shrimpton
Favorite designer: I’m fickle- it changes, but maybe Marni or Marc Jacobs?
Current favorite pair of shoes: My tangerine patent driving mocs from Car Shoe
What you’re dying to buy this spring: Little chiffon dresses, fitted vintage jackets, enameled jewelry

I’m always obsessed with: Sweets!! (Cotton candy and cake being my favorites.)

What you’re dying to buy this spring: A yacht. Failing that – a smaller yacht and a captain’s hat.

Name: Angela Swinderman
Background: I was an editorial intern at San Francisco Magazine. I accepted an internship at Ruby Press and am now Melissa’s assistant.
Favorite fashion movie: In The Mood For Love
Favorite model: Irina Lazareanu
Favorite designer: It changes with seasons, but I really love Philip Lim, Tory Burch and Marc Jacobs.
Current favorite pair of shoes: I’m not a huge shoe woman, but vintage scarves make me melt. Current favorite is gold, turquoise and white and resembles a backgammon board.
What you’re dying to buy this spring: I’m still hunting for the perfect cropped and fitted leather motorcycle jacket to wear with my Spring dresses
Favorite fashion website: Style.com hands down! I love reading about designers and the evolution of labels. Plus, I get to see all of the shows!
I’m always obsessed with: Food! I DVR the food network and experiment on the weekends.
