Gym

I am one of the least athletically inclined people I know. Gym was NEVER my favorite period. That being said, I’m bizarrely drawn to vintage athletic equipment. Check out these wooden beauties!

Shine

Shine Home masterfully balances sophisticated shapes with playful pops of color. It’s exotic and modern at the same time- a hard look to pull off. Here are some of my favorites from their online store…

Vintage Lingerie

I love the demureness of vintage lingerie . The chiffons, ruffles, bows and bloomers are more slumber party than prom night. These are the looks that are inspiring my current search…

I love the soft lense and pink lighting in this shot taken from The New York Times Style Magazine’s Spring issue.

I spotted this 1960’s lingerie [...]

Ooh la la

I LOVE the feather trim on this coat-so Parisian! I can’t stop thinking about how easy it would be to combine H&M’s collection of chic and affordable outerwear and Britex Fabrics’ selection of vintage feather trims to create a unique and completely customized coat!

Bloom Pillow

I stumbled upon the end all fantasy pillow for any girly-girl. The bloom pillow, from India-based textile company, Shades of India, would be heavenly on a modern chaise to balance its sweetness. Oh, just to run my hands over its peony-like ruffles…so fun!

Married Life

Despite mixed reviews, I just can’t resist the allure of a modern day film noir starring a platinum Rachel McAdams! Married Life is a black comedy/romance/thriller that tells the story of Harry (Chris Cooper) who plans to kill his wife (Patricia Clarkson) to be with his young lover, Kay (Rachel McAdams). The 1940’s styling is [...]

She & Him

I knew Zooey Deschanel could croon after watching Elf.  Her rendition of “Baby It’s Cold Outside” definitely made its rounds on my Christmas playlist (yes, I have one).  So, naturally, I almost fell out of my chair when I found out that she’s releasing an album with M. Ward on March 18th! The album, She [...]

Broken English

I’m a sucker for movies shot in beautiful cities, Paris especially. I’m also a huge Parker Posey fan, so when I stumbled across Broken English in the new release section, I couldn’t wait to watch it!
Posey’s portrayal of an uninspired 30+ New Yorker with a bad dating rep is so convincing, she’s almost painful [...]
