Leave it Lonny to come out with yet another spectacular feature…
Ever since designer Rachel Ashwell débuted her television show back in 2000, I have been completely hooked on the Shabby Chic style. Her collection has gradually seeped into my life- from my curtains and armoire, to a handful of lovely night gowns. So of course, I loved seeing Rachel’s London apartment in the August/September issue of Lonny. It’s exactly how I pictured it would be; soft, romantic, a little shabby, but ever so chic!

If your mama was Betsy Burnham, your room would be this cool too. The technicolor palette and kooky accessories are masterfully tamed with soulful antiques and global influence. It’s youthful and feminine without being predictable or saccharine. Well done!
