Byredo

Swedish fragrance line Byredo doesn’t arrive in the states until October. (And then it debuts at Barney’s.) Until then, order a travel size 15 ml bottle of Pulp through the Perfume Critic. (I just did.) Can’t wait to try their Gypsy Water and Rose Noir.

I love getting sneak previews!

For the feather obsessed…

I’ve been dying to try feather hair accessories like the ones I’ve seen lately in a lot of fashion editorial (and the last episode of Project Runway!). I finally found a source last night on Etsy called Charm School Design that makes some really gorgeous pieces. The problem is deciding on one to buy!!

Caldrea

I swear I have over 30 pairs of denim and I am now utterly delighted to finally have a solution to my ever fading color problems with Caldrea’s Dark Wash… Long live my Jeans!

Davines

Yes, sometimes the contents ARE as good as the packaging! I’m hooked on the Italian haircare line Davines and they sell it at my hair salon, Remedy. (To buy online, click here.)

Just a drop or two

I love fragrance and online shopping, but really, do you want to shell out $$ on a fragrance you’ve never actually tried on? Scent Bar is a tiny but well-stocked fragrance boutique in LA with a fantastic website (called LuckyScent)… See something you’d like to try? Order a sample for a few dollars and try it out for yourself!

I’m sampling:

Parfums MDCI’s Rose de Siwa “The scent is a charming, playful rhapsody in pink, a joyful, flirty, truly feminine composition that features pink peonies, pink roses, and pink fruits, with violets adding a darker depth to the blend…”

Heeley’s Sel Marin “Both breezy and aquatic, Sel Marin perfectly captures an early summer’s day spent at a quiet cove, a place absent of all fruity tropical oil smells and distractions when the only thing to concentrate on is the refreshing water, the soft sand and the salty sea air….”

Stephanie de Saint-Aignan’s Li Altarelli “Li Altarelli has a green, vegetal beginning, which we adore, and a sumptuous lemony accord beautifully woven into the herbal and earthy body of the scent…”

Acqua di Biella’s Ca Luna “Cool and full of shadows, this reminds us of the family palazzo we wish we had grown up in. Ancient walls covered in lichen and silver-toned ivy…”

P.S. I also love their friendly, expert descriptions that really paint a picture of each fragrance.

The Scents of Life..

When I was a kid I remember spending hours in the library sifting through old books and relishing in art & fashion magazines. Now I can relive my favorite memory with CB I Hate Perfume’s “In the Library”. But if your not a book fan, then theres also other scents such as, “At the Beach 1966″ which combines the smell of Coppertone, Wet Sand, Seashell, Driftwood and “a hint of Boardwalk”. With 30 scents currently, you are bound to find something you’ll absolutely love… (or hate.)

Clark’s Botanicals

I admit it, the packaging drew me in, but this line has substance to back it up. Clark’s Botanicals not only super stylish but are also paraben and petroleum free. The line grew out of tragedy- Francesco Clark suffered a spinal cord injury which not only paralyzed him but also affected his ability to sweat, which clogged his pores and led to chronic breakouts. He turned to his physician father and together they created this skin care lined based around Jasmine Absolute.

Check out the full line and shop while you’re at it. A portion of the proceeds go to The Reeve Foundation.

Rainbow Sweaters and Shaun Cassidy…

Tinte Cosmetics has dipped into those late 70’s/early 80’s memories with their yummy (bubblegum, blackberry, and root beer flavors shown below) lip gloss tins. So fun!
