Nouvelle Vague has to be one of my most favorite French musical collective bands to date. Their sound is so sugary sweet- even when covering the Dead Kennedys, Joy Division and Blondie. Their album “Band a Part” is one of my favorites. The album includes versions of “Blue Monday” by New Order and “The Killing Moon” by Echo and the Bunnymen and much more. Apprécier et au revoir!

Leave it Lonny to come out with yet another spectacular feature…

Ever since designer Rachel Ashwell débuted her television show back in 2000, I have been completely hooked on the Shabby Chic style. Her collection has gradually seeped into my life- from my curtains and armoire, to a handful of lovely night gowns. So of course, I loved seeing Rachel’s London apartment in the August/September issue of Lonny. It’s exactly how I pictured it would be; soft, romantic, a little shabby, but ever so chic!

The Mad Men Effect

I admit that I’m hooked- I actually look forward to the end of my weekends now! I realized how bad it was when my DVR mistakenly recorded Rubicon instead of this week’s episode. Luckily, Mad Men fanatics like myself can get their 1960’s fix through other outlets as well… like Natasha Vargas-Cooper’s new book, inspired by her blog dedicated to dissecting references from the show. Even Maidenform is hip to the craze- Mad Men’s costume designer referenced Maidenform’s ‘I Dreamed I’ campaign in her style book and is now working on promoting the brand. Brilliant!
