I’m just crazy about the hair and makeup at Prada’s spring show…

Midwesterners Lynn Manley and daughter Laura Cler have created a line of impeccably packaged soy candles that I guarantee you will go crazy over. I came upon Linnea’s Lights at Ellington & French in Berkeley yesterday and couldn’t take my eyes off of them. The minimal kraft paper boxes with gorgeous label {that satisfies my complete obsession with calligraphy!} was tempting enough, but the scents of each were also so clean and pure… {Extra bonus, as Ellington & French owner China pointed out- lift off the lid and find an adorable box of matches affixed to the top!} I picked up the Currant Rouge and when I burned it at home last night, I was surprised at how strong the scent was- which is either due to the double wick or the fact that they triple-scent their candles…not sure which. {Maybe both?}
These candles are not sold on their website, but if you call Ellington & French {one of my favorite stores} they will be happy to ship to you. I’m in love.

Some of my favorite hair and makeup looks for Spring 2010 thus far…
{a strong coral red lip and boyish cut at Isaac Mizrahi}

{soft face, rosy pout and full tousled hair at Tuleh}

{lower lashes, flawless skin and coral-pink lips at Chris Benz}

Peter Pan collar= good girl. Animal print vintage fur= bad girl. Buy it here.
{But there’s only one, so act fast if you can’t live without it.}

My jet-setting friend Sean just sent me some samples of his new home fragrance line, Royal Apothic, and it’s divine. {The company was inspired by an 18th century apothecary manual he found in a Notting Hill antique stall.} My favorite fragrances are A Cutting Garden and A Versailles Afternoon {which of course makes me think of this}. Try it out yourself here.

Have you seen the Bazaar section of the website on Serena & Lily? I am just ill that someone beat me to these one-of-a-kind pieces! {Thanks for the tip, Amy!}

I’m excited to introduce you to our newest intern Terra! {We are STILL looking for one more though…} We are so tickled to have her join us- and I think you’ll love her upcoming posts.
Oh, and this is her insanely cute bike! Shouldn’t it be the official bike of Ruby Press?? {If only I could ride a bike!} She even has a white wire basket on hers…
