I was just complaining to a friend/client over lunch that sometimes I feel like I get in a rut with the blog. She mentioned a blog or two that she loves and I started thinking, I bet you all have blogs you love as well, that I’ve never heard of! Would you mind sharing your inspiring finds?? {I’m sure the girls here at Ruby Press would enjoy learning about them too!} You know what we like- style, design, food, pretty vintage things…
Thanks in advance!! xx
P.S. I accidentally turned off comments earlier- but now it’s fixed, so comment away!!
As you may come to learn by some of my future posts, I am a complete Francophile. I love all things French, but most of all I LOVE the desserts. Macaroons, crème brulée, canele de Bordeaux…c’est délicieux! So you can imagine how excited I was to come across the work of Susan Hochbaum. She sees the beautiful city of Paris like the delicious French pastries . For Susan, “in Paris, everything looks like dessert”. We couldn’t agree more!
We were all so thrilled to hear about Dara Caponigro joining Veranda Magazine as their new Editor in Chief {you may recognize her name as the Style Director from Domino}, and were thrilled to be able to tell her how happy we were at the party celebrating her at the charming High Point Country Club in North Carolina…We think this magazine is about to get a fresh new attitude and heaping spoonful of style.
While Angela and I were in New York, we managed to squeeze in an evening with one of our favorite people, Michelle Adams. {You know her from Rubie Green and Lonny Magazine.} After a tour of her new apartment {which you can also see in the latest issue of Lonny!}, we headed to dinner at the most charming West Village restaurant, Bobo. Unbelievably chic decor and atmosphere…and the best company!
some big personal news. Sam and I are expecting a little boy this September! Needless to say, we are beyond thrilled, but I must admit, the whole thing is a bit surreal as well!
I’m sorry the blog has been quiet for a while- my first week back after my ten day trip to the East Coast was a bit hectic, but things are now feeling back to normal. {Except the fact that there’s a human being growing inside of me- ha!!} I’ve been dying to tell you all…and I welcome any advice you moms and dads might have!
Angela and I are heading off to our semi-annual NY trip this weekend- we’ll be meeting with national magazine editors to show them our clients’ lines over the span of three days. Of course we’re staying at the incomparable City Club Hotel- our home away from home! After that trip, I’ll be heading to the High Point furniture trade show in North Carolina- my first time and I’m really excited to go with our client Elite Leather! If you’re going, comment here and let me know! I’d love to meet you!
