A little taste of Parisian chic in San Diego!

My never-ending search for the perfect macaroni and cheese led me to Cafe Chloe, an unbelievably chic French bistro and wine bar situated in San Diego’s newly renovated East Village. Their macaroni, pancetta and gorgonzola gratin is simply to die for and the rest of their menu is just as delectable! And it’s a great place to relax and enjoy the sights of downtown San Diego as you sip some of their yummy beverages. I love the lavender lemonade - super refreshing, with a hint of one of my favorite florals – and the Urban Tea - Cafe Chloe’s neo-French take on afternoon tea. If you get a chance, head into the back of this charming cafe to check out their assortment of cards, jewelry by local artists, and notebooks. (Perhaps I’ve finally found the official Ruby Press restaurant of Southern California - their logo, which is a silhouette of the owners’ daughter, reminds me of Vicente Agor’s silhouette pendant!)
