Viv&Ingrid Ten Year Anniversary Party!

How time flies…  Our dear {and oldest!!} client viv&ingrid is turning ten years old this year and to celebrate, we’re throwing a “carnival of sweets” themed party at the darling Miette in Hayes Valley {San Francisco} next week.  There will be homemade cotton candy and ‘cracker jack’, as well as loads of fabulous sweets and champagne and Dry Soda to sip!  We’ll be raffling off over $1,000 worth of viv&ingrid {wow, right??!} and the goody bags will be a treat in themselves!  That’s where you come in.  We will be giving away three goody bags to our blog readers…just leave a comment and tell me why you love viv&ingrid and we’ll pick a winner the day after the party!

A Little Bubbly

Here at Ruby Press it’s hard to go more than a few weeks without opening a bottle of champagne – we especially love the pink kind!  I found an article on NOTCOT, a website dedicated to design, about the evolution of the champagne glass.  Check it out!

Rose Sauvage

My new favorite champagne is Piper Heidsieck’s Rose Sauvage.  {Had it at a friend’s house over the holidays.}  In the words of Wine Spectator: “Very concentrated and vibrant, this Champagne delivers cherry, cranberry and spice notes on a broad swath of cashmere-like texture. The structure emerges on the finish, but it remains focused and balanced throughout. Drink now.”  I couldn’t agree more.  {Especially about that last part.}

P.S. The champagne is the same gorgeous salmony-pink as the label.

Violette and bubbles

My good friend Dani {who has great taste, I might add} came over for drinks on Saturday night {she just came back from Paris and we needed to catch up} and she brought a bottle of this Violette liqueur. We added a splash to a glass of champagne and I can’t even tell you how divine it was. And the color- it turns the champagne a pale lilac color that is gorgeous.

I seriously…

dream about cake and champagne. Seriously. (And it’s not that I deprive myself of either!)

{Make this cake- the recipe (and photo) are from Bake or Break.}
