The smoky eye, Hitchcock blonde, and of course, that killer pale pink fur are so cleverly modernized by the bold ikat scarf in this Oscar de la Renta look from the pre-fall show. I’m dying to re-create!

It doesn’t take much to get me daydreaming about Paris – any mention of croissants, arrondissements, and the metro gets me buzzing. Not sure when my next trip will be, but I wish I was there RIGHT NOW to check out the new exhibit at Les Arts Décoratifs, Madeleine Vionnet, puriste de la mode. A plane ticket to Paris might be worth seeing over 130 of the pioneering couturier’s remarkable works that transformed fashion in the early 20th century (hello bias cut!). I might not be able to make it, so to all you lucky travelers, let me know how fabulous all the dresses are in real life!

I came upon this amazing blog which offers great images and info on home décor as well as the occasional sprinkling of fashion finds. Erin is an interior stylist from Boston and I love that she references “Clueless,” infuses her entries with a ton of pictures, and uses the term “real estalking”!

I don’t even remember when I acquired this book, but it never fails to entertain. Written by model-turned-designer Anne Fogarty in 1959, it’s main goal is to educate wives on fashion and how to trick their husbands into buying them more clothes! Hilarious!
