February, April said, “That half of the year, well we’ll never be friends…”*

This week’s sudden shift in weather back to SF’s signature rainy/overcast blah has left me longing for the summer I spent in Denmark. The history, the slow summer days, and the modest lifestyle of the Danish people made me feel like I could be happy there forever. So it came as no surprise to me when I recently read that Denmark once again tops the list as The Happiest Country … Eventually I grew to miss the bustle and excitement of my old life back in California, but for a month it was all I could have ever wanted. So, in remembrance of that idyllic summer I have found myself keeping Beirut’s Nantes, Luke Buda’s Blue Summer and Feist’s Gatekeeper on repeat this week.
