Sophie Richards has a knack for turning hanging sessions with her friends into impromptu photoshoots. My favorites though are the photographs where she focuses on just one subject, like this transposed trio.

If anyone is scrambling to buy a VERY last-minute Christmas gift, allow me point you in the right direction. I’ve been dying to check out photographer Lauren Dukoff’s book Family since it released a few months ago. It features candid yet striking shots of musicians Devendra Banhart, Joanna Newsom, Entrance, Bat for Lashes, Vetiver, and many more–an incredibly creative “family” of folks that are pretty stylish both on and off the stage.

I love the light in this photo by Cedric Bihr, very winter-like, no? {Thanks for the introduction This is Glamorous!}

I’ve been waiting for this exhibition for months and it’s finally opening this Saturday at SFMOMA. Richard Avedon’s work- including his early street photography, photo journalism, high fashion photography, and his iconic celebrity portraits- will be on display. My favorite…

I’m LOVING Catherine Ledner’s animal prints! She has everything from house cats to armadillos shot against the chicest wallpapers. Check out the entire gallery here. Which one is your favorite?? My heart belongs to the bulldog.

{Dying to check out her book Glamour Dogs!! Spotted it here of course!}
I just came across this blog Shorpy {via Warsaw}, a collection of beautiful, high-definition photos from 1850’s through 1950’s. Wow.
{The blog is named after Shorpy Higgenbotham, a 14 year old coal miner who lived over one hundred years ago.}
Valentine’s Day is around the corner, but we don’t need one day to spread the love! I came across Keiko’s Love Project on flickr. You send her a letter, and she’ll send you an envelope back full of paper hearts for you to photograph. It’s like a love chain of photos, spreading all around the world!
