If Karl Lagerfeld’s Scotland-inspired pre-fall 2013 collection for Chanel doesn’t get you in the Christmas mood, what will?

I just love nude and pink frosted lips. I couldn’t resist buying another gorgeous shade from Chanel’s Rouge Coco Shine.

Karl Lagerfeld, my dear man, you are quite simply amazing. The debut of Chanel’s Spring 2012 collection in Paris simply took my breath away (the thought of actually attending the show makes me literally weak in the knees). Scrolling through the images of Karl Lagerfeld’s ethereal creations feels as though you’re falling deep into a dream world; an underwater magical oasis where Florence Welch’s voice serves as the soundtrack. It’s the sort of dream you never want to wake up from.
We held a press night at San Francisco’s Simply Chic {pure heaven for bag-a-holics!} this week and what fun was it to see our media friends and meet some new bloggers too! For those of you not familiar yet, this jewel-box of a shop sells the most exquisite designer accessories {think bags, jewelry, watches and shoes} on consignment. She has such amazing inventory, you’d be downright foolish to buy a designer handbag at full price ever again.
Over champagne and caviar, charming owner May Warren showed guests her newest acquisitions, including two Louis Vuitton trunks- one wardrobe trunk complete with drawers and hangers and the other more of a classic trunk from the 20′s with vintage stickers and a patina that made my heart skip a beat. {Seriously, that quilted interior??}
P.S. By the way, if you see something you like on their site, they’ll ship to you too. You don’t have to be here in San Francisco to have a chance to scoop up that Chanel or Gucci bag you’re eyeing.
I stumbled across Atlantic Pacific while browsing local street style blogs last weekend, and I must say, it’s incredibly chic! I kept telling myself that I would only look at one more page, but you know how it is. Do check it out if you have a minute (or 20!).

Karl called the heart-shaped hair coiffures “neon baroque”….Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette has been influential way beyond it’s time, don’t you think?

is our most recent event, the Ruby Press Bridal Soiree! You can click to see photos from the event, or any of our other selected events, like the Chanel-sponsored afterparty for the Los Angeles premiere of Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, the private dinner celebrating Cole Haan’s 80th anniversary, or the opening of San Francisco’s Crown & Crumpet.
