Flower dessert!

This flower-adorned dessert from Green Kitchen Stories (which I discovered through The Chalkboard!) is almost too pretty to eat, isn’t it? While I can appreciate its healthful beauty, its cashew and agave filling might be a bit too nutritious for my tastes. But I might just have to make a more decadent version this summer – maybe with this frozen key lime filling and this Prosecco-strawberry slush?

Foraged flowers in Hayes Valley

I was checking out one of my favorite sites, Remodelista, this morning, and read about floral artist Louesa Roebuck’s beautiful new shop on Hayes Street in San Francisco. Part of a shared space with In Bed, H.D. Buttercup’s organic bed linen store, she’ll offer ceramics and pottery alongside displays of her foraged flowers. I want to live in here!

Mignonne Handmade

It’s no wonder that a nostalgic art history graduate working at a little flower shop would create this incredibly sweet line of wedding accessories! Born out of a love for embellishment, decorative forms and all around pretty things from bygone eras, Jenn Wood creates custom headbands, shoe clips and silk flower bouquets. I’m so in love!! Jenn uses all eco-friendly materials from vintage flowers, organic silks, organic hemp/cotton blends to the exotic (like pineapple fibers!). Perfection all around!

Floral “Wallpaper”

Today is the last day with our fabulous intern Iris!  Thank you for everything Iris- we will miss you!!  xxM

Her last post:

With Labor Day ahead and a big empty room to myself  {I just moved into a new house!}, what better way to spend the long weekend than  decorating  ‘ma boudoir’? Swedish design group Front, is really inspiring me to get crafty with some faux flowers {although theirs might be real!} and tape. Isn’t the result stunning? You’ll never want to leave your room…
